Adobe Photoshop is often referred to as the Sword of King Arthur for designers. If there is anyone who is even remotely connected to the world of designing, there is no way that he hasn’t heard of Photoshop. Whether it is a web design in India or one in US, Adobe Photoshop has empowered people to edit pictures in unthinkable ways to touch the limits of imagination giving us a much more creative world.
How it all Began
It is funny when we think of our ancestors- the Ape men- and recollect how every invention was born out of a simple need. Man made weapons out of sharp stones to hunt, made baskets out of trees and leaves so that they could store food.
Although, Photoshop wasn’t made in an era so early, the principles were quite similar. The Knoll brothers wanted to turn their picture into grayscale. That’s it. That’s how it all began. The need to do something so simple led to making a program so powerful that it has the designers all over the world on their knees.
Partnering with Adobe
In 1990, after the tremendous success of Image Pro (1988), The Knoll Brothers, Thomas and John Knoll Partnered with Adobe to give birth to the first version of Photoshop, 1.0. That day onwards, the software has only developed touching the lives of designers all over the world.
