Are you a Google search user? Do you search in Google for your need? The results shown are most relevant but still are you annoyed with some results shown by Google Search? Yes? Now, Google has answers to all of your these question with its new feature called SearchWiki. SearchWiki is a feature which has option to customize your SERPs for specific keywords according to your needs.

On November 20, 2008 Google has launched these feature to live but still only fewer audience has access to this feature. Today, we got access to this feature. With SearchWiki you can re-rank, delete, add and make comments on the search results. You can also write notes attached to a particular site for your future perusal.

SearchWiki is available only to the signed-in Google users. It won’t show you this feature if you are not signed-in with Google account. If you are wondering if you are signed in, you can always check by noting if your username appears in the upper right-hand side of the page. The changes you make on specific pages only affect your own search results and not anyone else. Just have a look at Google’s lead engineer, Amay, demonstrate a few ways to use SearchWiki in this short video:

This will not affect SEO industry much, as results will be personalized for specific user accounts only and not for specific any PC or IP address.

    Hello,

Wish Google was more thorough in their approach to this SearchWiki experiment.

The Greasmonkey Script is an option but only a band-aid. For those interested, there is also a plugin to de-personalize search by Yoast, albeit, another band-aid. Google, we want to OPT OUT!

What is interesting, as well, is Google’s decision to enable us to personalize only a portion of our results.
