Have you read it anywhere that Google is testing to display breadcrumb in Google’s SERPs? Breadcrumb displays hierarchy and navigation to that particular page of the site. Though Google has not implemented it globally but in some area users find the bread crumb in the SERPs, and you can check it in the following image.

Have you checked in the above screen shot that, instead of the URL, it displays breadcrumb? Yeah as Google and it’s webmaster guide line recommend good site architecture in the past, and also given importance. Navigation is the part of site architecture and those who did not give importance to navigation part have some time to improve their site for bread crumb display in Google’s SERPs.
These breadcrumb display will help visitors a lot because through this new visitor can easily navigate into your site. They can easily reach on the page where they want to.
Now every on has one question in mind that — having breadcrumbs will be a factor in the ranking of long tail keywords in the Google’s algorithm? Will breadcrumbs play into the click through rate algorithm criteria?
Though Google is just testing this idea – and if they find high CTRs from the end advertisers – be ready for the use of breadcrumbs to increase in importance on ranking – thereby making their usage non-optional in website design.
